Technology Facilitated Abuse Focus Groups
FORGE is working with the National Resource Center on Cybercrimes to learn about LGBTQ+ people’s experiences with technology facilitated abuse. This includes abuse by intimate partners, family members, friends, strangers, and anyone else that is committed through technology. This may include stalking, doxxing, deep fakes, online harassment, or many other forms of harm.
We want to hear from you! We are recruiting for three focus groups of about 8-15 people each.
Tuesday August 25 – 12pm to 1:30pm Eastern: A general listening session for LGBTQ+ survivors of cyberstalking, non-consensual distribution of intimate images, and sextortion, with a focus on crimes where the perpetrator was an intimate partner.
Tuesday, August 25 – 5pm to 6:30pm Eastern: A listening session focusing on LGBTQ+ survivors who were targeted by a stranger, acquaintance, or casual dating partner/ “hook-up”.
Thursday, August 27 – 2pm to 3:30pm Eastern: A listening session focused on LGBTQ+ transition age youth (18-24).
