The Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 added a grant condition that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Many providers and grantees working with survivors have questions about what these new conditions mean and how it might impact their agency. Many are unsure of where to go or who to ask for additional support in improving and expanding their services to include survivors of all sexual orientations and gender identities. In this webinar, staffers from FORGE and the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs — the two national OVW-funded LGBTQ training and technical assistance providers — share examples of how they can help support your agency in understanding the new non-discrimination conditions and how you can better serve LGBTQ survivors of sexual assault, domestic and dating violence and stalking.
