The latest numbers show that non-binary individuals – those who do not identify as either male or female – now comprise the majority of the transgender community. FORGE’s other two webinars in this series – Sheltering Trans Women and Sheltering Trans Men – will help guide you with placement into sex-segregated or gender integrated communal living shelters for trans people who primarily identify as women or men. However, for non-binary survivors, placement can be more difficult, with less overt federal guidance on how to provide services to survivors who do not identify within binary gender structures. This 60-minute webinar will help you understand who non-binary intimate partner violence survivors are, and how you can help them obtain and maintain safety.
