Historical: Details for 2016 Milwaukee vigil for victims of the Pulse nightclub shootings
All Milwaukeeans are invited to join in community to honor the victims of the mass shootings in Orlando. Let us come together and be a force of love and solidarity to demonstrate that we oppose these senseless acts of violence against the LGBTQ community and all communities.
Gather at the south end of City Hall (Water & Wells Streets) at 7 pm with a short program at 7:30 pm with Mayor Tom Barrett. The vigil will be moved into the City Hall rotunda in the case of inclement weather.
The co-sponsors include Milwaukee Pride, Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, Diverse & Resilient, Cream City Foundation, Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Church, FORGE, UWM LGBT Resource Center with more being added as this story/events develop.
