Exploring your relationship with money & financial safety planning
Trans/nonbinary people experience high rates of violence, including financial abuse, and often have unique needs when it comes to financial well-being.
Our relationship with money affects how we engage with ourselves, our communities, and our work. This workshop will support you in exploring your relationship with money, how it shows up in your life and work, and how you can begin to incorporate financial safety planning in your life. We will be sharing about the basics of economic abuse, walking through a money exploration exercise, and create a financial safety plan that works for you and your needs.

Presenter Bio: Sharon (she/her) is driven by the belief that every survivor deserves autonomy and agency, and that each survivor is capable of achieving it. Her approach to money and survivorship is grounded in the understanding that financial trauma, and where a survivor is in their financial journey, do not define their worth, abilities, or future. By removing the shame and stigma around money, Sharon creates spaces where survivors can explore healing, build wealth, and design a financial future that supports their goals. At FreeFrom, she leads survivor programming, building community and capacity with survivors of GBV. She is based in Los Angeles, CA (stolen Tongva land), holds her MA and BA in political science, and is an accredited financial counselor.
