Dealing with Cops and Courts: Safety Strategies and Legal Rights for Trans Survivors

Many trans/nonbinary survivors of violence have encounters with law enforcement or the criminal legal system, not always by choice. In this training with Ikal Quintana and Sabrina Rodriguez from Lavender Rights Project, participants will learn some of the federal protections in place for encounters with the system, strategies for increasing safety while coping with trauma, and tools for learning more to protect ourselves during these encounters.
