Safety Planning and Risk Assessment: Building Trans Survivor Skills
We can help keep each other safer. In this workshop, we’ll look at tools for assessing risk in different situations, how to ask for support from others, and what might be included in a safety plan. Safety planning can be a useful process for individuals (as well as relationships, groups, and communities) to think ahead about ways to increase safety and decrease risks. Safety planning can be widely applied and be as specific or general as people need. We’ll look at scenarios including relationship violence and safety outside of the home.
