Staff introduction: Caleb Weinhardt
To develop new programming for the transgender/non-binary community and assist with organization, FORGE is pleased to announce the addition of Caleb Weinhardt to our staff.
Weinhardt (he/him/his) will organize and lead events through a new program called FORGE Outdoors. This program will offer free and inclusive summer activities for trans/non-binary people and their friends, family, and loved ones. The goal of this program is to create a safe and affirming environment for trans/non-binary individuals and their supporters, develop a strong social network, provide accessibility to outdoor experiences, and promote physical and mental wellbeing. Weinhardt will also work with the FORGE team to staff FORGE Health and Wellness Area booths at PrideFest and assist with organizational tasks.
“Caleb’s skills, sensitivity, and strong work ethic are tremendous assets to both FORGE and to the greater trans/non-binary community,” states, FORGE’s Executive Director, michael munson. “His breadth of knowledge, attention to detail, and gentle energetic approach to life are deeply felt and appreciated.” Weinhardt is enthusiastic about joining the FORGE staff and looks forward to contributing to the local trans/non-binary community. Weinhardt is an undergraduate student at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon and plans to major in English and Psychology. He has previously worked as a Field Manager for canvassers raising funds for the Human Rights Campaign and served as the secretary on the Courage MKE Junior Board.
