Individuals who are in an abusive relationship benefit from the support of professionals who can help them create a safety plan.  Providers and advocates who are aware of the unique concerns and challenges that transgender and gender non-conforming individuals may experience will be better able to assist their clients in creating an effective safety plan.  This webinar will review core components of intimate partner violence and safety planning; provide information on transgender-specific abuse tactics and planning strategies; offer many transgender-specific examples and potential solutions;  and provide a tool for working with clients who seek to reduce harm or leave an abusive relationship.
