FORGE hosts many listservs – some for specific, targeted audiences.   Some lists are for transgender individuals and SOFFAs, others are geared more towards professionals who serve transgender and SOFFA individuals.  Every list offers resources – personal connections, links to articles and websites, and most of all, a sense of community and involvement.  If you’d like to be added to one or more list(s), you can subscribe yourself, or send an email to info [at] forge-forward [dot] org and ask to be added.

FORGE National Announcements (T, P)

Most of FORGE’s projects and publications are of interest to people around the country (and around the world).   The national list is announcement only and low volume (3-10 messages per month).   Join this list to stay current on updates, publications and events.  (Use form to sign up.)

FORGE Milwaukee Events and News (T)

A low volume announcement-only list (5-10 messages per month) that promotes Milwaukee-based FORGE meetings and other events of interest to transgender people and SOFFAs in the Midwest.  (Use form to sign up.)

This list is specifically designed for press: newspapers, LGBT organizations across the country who have newsletters, and others who are interested in staying informed about FORGE activities, publications, and events.  Most emails will be press-releases and of interest to a wide-ranging audience.  (Use form to sign up.)

Professionals Serving Transgender Sexual Violence Survivors (P)

An announcement-only list primarily for providers who want to keep up to date on FORGE publications, webinars, events, and other activities related to sexual violence and trauma.  (Use form to sign up.)

Trans Survivors Resource List (updates of new publications) (T)

This announcement email list is for transgender, gender non-conforming, and partners/loved ones who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, hate violence, or any form of trauma.   New publications and resources for survivors will be emailed when they are released. SV-Support (Healing from violence support) (T, I)

A peer-to-peer support list for LGBTQI – with heavy participation/focus on transgender – survivors of sexual violence. The list is open to both direct survivors and secondary survivors (partners, family members, and compassionate allies). Transgender Aging Network Professionals (P, I)

The Transgender Aging Network (TAN) listserv is a low-volume, catch-all listserv.  It is designed to provide support and information (i.e., technical assistance or answers to questions) to any type of professional, researcher, or advocate who serves trans elders.  It also serves as an announcement listserv on which subscribers can post news of new publications, solicit participants in research, ask advice, and otherwise network with others who are interested in transgender aging issues.  Transgender elders who want to know what the “professionals” are doing or who want to be available to answer questions are welcome.  To join, send an email requesting to be subscribed to TAN to LoreeCD [at] aol [dot] com.

ElderTG (T, I)

ElderTG is a peer support listserve for transgender (broad definition) persons age 50 and older, and their SOFFAs (Significant Others, Friends, Family, and Allies).  ElderTG goes through phases, and is sometimes a high-volume list.  ElderTG is moderated by Robyn and Jacqueline.  To subscribe, send an email stating your age and interest to eldertg-subscribe [at] groups [dot] onlinepolicy [dot] net.  Questions can be directed to robynw [at] hawaiiantel [dot] net and/or jacqueline_allan [at] yahoo [dot] com.  At members’ request, this listserve is not open to professionals or researchers.
