Welcome Katie Taylor!
FORGE is excited to have Katie Taylor on board. In just a few weeks we have been bolstered by her energy, passion, and commitment to trans* and non-binary survivors and loved ones.
Katie Taylor has worked in the anti-sexual and domestic violence movements as well as ecofeminist and LGBTQ rights movements for over fifteen years. She identifies as a gender-creative activist whose passion for art, upcycling, food justice and social change are integral to her way of life.
Katie earned her Master’s in Community Psychology and Social Change with a concentration in Ecojustice and Gender Equity from Penn State in 2009. She is an active member of the LGBTQ community both personally and professionally, focusing on intersectionality and oppression.
Besides their gaggle of dogs and persnickety cat, Katie enjoys preserving the food from the garden she planted with her partner, Leigh, camping and creating art in its many forms. Katie is beyond excited to work with FORGE to help coordinate the ESPAVO Project and support the creation of best practices for providing both shelter and non-residential services to trans survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of violence.
Please join us in welcoming the newest member of FORGE’s team!
