On Thursday, November 21, 2013 [noon – 1:30pm Pacific | 1:00 – 2:30pm Mountain |2:00 – 3:30pm Central | 3:00 – 4:30pm Eastern], join FORGE staff michael munson and Loree Cook-Daniels to learn more about the healthcare implications (challenges and solutions) when working with trans*/gender non-conforming survivors.
Sexual assault and domestic violence victims often need more physical and/or mental health care than non-survivors, both directly following abuse/assault and years later. Transgender and gender non-conforming survivors and loved ones often face additional challenges accessing healthcare-related services (including denial of care and even revictimization). This webinar will review some of the primary barriers trans* survivors face when accessing health care, including additional complications that have emerged with the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). Positive recent developments and suggested solutions to common barriers will also be covered. Learn more
If you can’t attend the live webinar, know that all FORGE webinars are recorded and will be available within a few days of the real-time training. [http://forge-forward.org/trainings-events/recorded-webinars/]
